Compact Constructed Wetland

A CCW is a small-scale constructed wetland, built individually for one household. It works in connection to a three chambered septic tank, from where blackwater flows from the last chamber, passing through the constructed wetland into an impounding basin. The basin accumulates the treated blackwater as well as grey water from the sink, laundry and bathroom plus storm water.
