Exercise: Pacific Island

Pacific Island countries have uniquely fragile water resources due to their small size, the lack of natural water storage, competing land use and the high negative impacts of natural hazards. One of the major problems are the challenges related to access to basic sanitation and safe drinking-water (WHO 2008).

In this exercise you will make suggestions to upgrade the water and sanitary facilities of a fictive pacific island to a more sustainable standard with the aim to benefit both the islanders as well as nature. It is part of this exercise to search for literature yourself.
