Gatsby Africa's mission is to accelerate inclusive and resilient economic growth in East Africa by demonstrating how key sectors can be transformed. They fund and implement programmes that look to catalyse and influence large-scale and lasting change in priority sectors.

Gatsby Africa's current portfolio has a mix of sectors that cut across agriculture, agro-processing, manufacturing, and services.

In water, Gatsby Africa's focus is on establishing the benchmarks, business models, and long-term strategy which will enable greater investment and significantly expand access to clean water.

With regards to entrepreneurial approaches Gatsby Africa is stimulating innovation and trialling high-potential service delivery models in rural areas.
