IsDB Transform Fund

Powered by The Islamic Development Bank, the Transform Fund is a new multi-million dollar fund that will drive meaningful change to millions of people by giving every scientist, technologist and innovator the opportunity to make a difference to the world around them.

Linked to the Engage hub, Transform will turn innovative ideas into real development solutions. Transform will provide seed money for innovators, startups and SMEs.

It will also fund the commercialization of technology developed through partnerships between researchers and entrepreneurs.

The Transform Fund provides grant funding to enterprises at three stages:

• Start-up: To support scientists and innovators who have a proven concept and who are in need for initial funding to develop their ideas into a pilot project/development solution and a business proposal.
• Scale-up: To support applicants who have successfully piloted a project which involves innovative technologies and are in need for additional funding to replicate or scale up the project.
• Commercialization: To support candidates who have already implemented and successfully scaled up an innovative project and are in need of additional funding for the commercialization of the services and products developed for a project.

The Transform Fund works through annual calls for Innovation.
