WATERUN Tools
The WATERUN Tools are research-based instruments developed by leading European Universities and research institutes (DCU, TU Berlin, UFZ and UNIVPM) each addressing a technical bottleneck in urban runoff management: field monitoring of pollutants, surface cover analysis, blue-green infrastructure planning, and risk-based decision support. Each tool has been validated in real urban catchments, putting lab-grade methods within reach of municipal practice.
Each tool comes with its own factsheet, plus sub-factsheets for more details. The tools were developed to address specific aspects of urban water runoff management, and they support different Stages within the IUWMP Journey. Every factsheet flags the stage(s) where a tool fits in, so you can move back and forth between the planning process and the tools that help carry it out.
